Welcome!
I am a senior researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, University of Bern, Switzerland. Currently I am working on a project exploring how the combination of computer simulation and machine learning transforms science; the project is funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation.
My research interests are conceptual issues of artificial intelligence and machine learning (interpretability, algorithmic fairness, ethics, use in science). I am also interested in topics in philosophy of science and mathematics (explanation, understanding, modeling, applicability of mathematics, &HPS).
My official page at the University of Bern is here.
My Google Scholar profile is here.
